About the blog:
In this blog I mainly want to tell you about my travel stories as well as improve my language skills. You will probably quickly find out that it is written in three languages: English, Spanish and German. I love to travel and to speak different languages.
The most active side is my "Home" of course. There you will find several pieces of information about my travels and other news and posts. Those are written in different languages.
"Already-have-been-dones" and "Languages" are lists I will change from time to time.
"Vanlife" is a quite new side. I just bought a VW Bus and plan to report all about its renovation and our roadtrips there.
Last but not least, the both "Travel Reports America and England". Those are finished reports about some of my biggest and most influential journeys. Rarely am I going to change anything there, because they are already very interesting as they are.
Have a look and let me know if there are any issues or recommendation.

Hey guys! My name is Kati, an avid culturholic. In this blog I mainly want to tell you about my travel stories as well as improve my language skills. You will probably quickly find out that it is written in three languages: English, Spanish and German. I love to travel and to speak different languages. I spend most of my leisure time in my study learning vocabularies or other exercises, but I do not neglect to meet my friends, go to the gym or anything like that.
During my trips I usually do lots of sports; for example, when I visit the coast I surf and when I visit the Alps I either ski or go snowboarding. It is always a lot of fun and I am pretty sure that I can´t be one of the type that stays the whole day at the beach only lying around and trying to tan…it would last years.
When I was in school I was taught Latin and historical Greek, that was probably the crucial beginning of my passion to languages and other cultures. After my final exams I decided to work as an industrial clerk and my company gave me lots of opportunities to visit other countries and work with people from abroad. For example, I did an internship in Guildford for three weeks. It was marvelous. I got to know so many new people and improved my skills enormously; not only my language skills, but additionally I got so many new experiences. That leads me to the thought that I wanted to work more intensely with different people and at different places.
I started to learn Spanish at the end of 2013. The beginning was very easy, because it remained me a lot of my Latin classes at school. First, I did not even need to learn any vocabularies, because they were all so similar either to English words or to Latin ones.
More and more it became my wish to become an interpreter or at least a foreign language assistant. I did research for more information of how to become one and found a university in Leipzig, Germany, which is teaching the study course called “Translation”. That was exactly what I was searching for.
I am now already in the third semestre, commit myself to the student council and am more than happy about my decision to quit my full-time job in order to start a further education.
Well, enough about myself. Let´s see how far I will go with my travelling and writing. I am curious about it. I hope you guys, too!
